Team Jolin shot Lan and Jeff’s elopement last week in Berkeley. The day started with us arriving for the tea ceremony. The bride and groom wore read and served tea to their family members. We headed to the church where shot the wedding and I got to shoot a group shot on the stairs! We ended the day in Tilden Park.
Joni and Stephen found me on Yelp.com while looking for a photographer to shoot their engagement and City Hall ceremony. Even with an appointment, City Hall weddings can take up to 2 hours, which gave us plenty of time to utilize the amazing space. We met at 12:30 for their 1pm ceremony that took place at my favorite spot in the building, the top floor. The windows are large and everyone looks fabulous in the soft mid-day light.
L+A were short and sweet with their elopement at City Hall. They had a gorgeous view of the hall, with the accents of the railing and architecture. I shot all film as I captured the amazing moments of their ceremony, and even caught an adorable dress twirl.
For T+A’s elopement I shot strictly film, and I’m so glad I did! First stop, martinis and first looks at Hotel Zetta. The big windows offered lots of light. It was perfect!! Then it was off to City Hall, which I feel you can never go wrong. It’s always offering the best shots, especially if you go to the top floors. After the ceremony, the bride and groom ‘Got Baked’ with Mr. Holmes Bakehouse’s super yummy baked goods.
