Turtle Hill Engagement

Sarina and Bryant met Jill and I at Baker Beach about 2 hours before sunset. We normally me there an hour later but this time, I decided to live on the edge. I love how the pictures turned out. The sun is higher and reflecting off the water to create a soft cloud of light around them. We ended at Turtle Hill in the Sunset.

Marin

Brooke, Angel and Miss Ray met me at Old Mill Park in Marin around 6pm on a Saturday evening. The light could not have been better! After about 30 minutes in the park we headed to my favorite spot on Mt. Tam so we could be there as the sun was setting.

Chrissy + Micheal

Team Jolin spent April 1st at Ravenswood Historical Site in Livermore where the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The day started with everyone getting ready for the ceremony, Chrissy in the bridal suite with her mother, and Michael getting his boutonniere in place out on the grounds. The ceremony was short and sweet with 2 readers and flower petals for guests to throw after the kiss.

The light at Ravenswood is epic and it’s all because of the trees. The reception was filled with Japanese maples that did wonders diffusing the light. We started taking portraits near the ruins at that back of the property and then stumbled upon a killer oak tree. Dinner was a casual, cocktail hour-esque buffet with no set itinerary. Around 6:00pm dancing and toasts started. The last event was Chrissy and Michael’s exit in the pedicab off to their next party!

Ashley + Kevin’s Fabulous Wedding

Ashley and Kevin’s wedding took place at 3 different venues. We started the day at the Stanford Park Hotel where Jerred, Vincent and I met them. Jerred went to hang out with Kevin and his groomsmen while Vincent and I shot Ashley’s dress, shoes, and invitations. As soon as we were done with the details Ashley got in her dress and we went straight to the courtyard for pictures of her with her friends and family.

An hour later we got in an old school bus that was converted in to a large Woody. It had a killer sound system and wood paneling on the inside. We proceed to rock out to Taylor Swift on the drive to the Church.

We arrived to Mission Santa Clara around 2pm for the ceremony. After the ceremony we did family portraits, bridal party pictures, and a few pictures of Ashley and Kevin in a record 30 minutes! We hopped back on the bus and our next stop was the Menlo Circus Club. It was stunning.

Right before sunset we strolled around the property to get a few more portraits and off to dinner!

Team Jolin is ready!

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but Robin Jolin Photography had a makeover. This new look started in November when I had the opportunity to bring the whole Jolin family to Mexico for the Jose Villa Workshop. Monte was 9 months old and Jerred was in the middle of writing his dissertation. We hopped on plane and drove about 2 hours outside of Guadalajara. This part of the country is especially meaningful to me because for a few years of my life my parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles would meet there for Thanksgiving.

My 2017 wedding season starts on Saturday! This year we have a few out-of-state weddings—we’re headed to Detroit, Ohio and Park City, Utah in July. Also, Jerred and I have two new members on our team. Vincent will be at weddings assisting us and making sure we have what we need when we need it. Jillian (Jill), will be in the office keeping me organized, posting online and printing. Finally, I have a new office space for meeting potential clients at Blu Bungalow J in the Cow Hollow District of San Francisco.

2017 is going to be a roller coaster and Team Jolin is ready!
