Shooting in wineries is always a joy. Posing and strolling among the grapes and lush greenery stays being a winning combo for us. A color palette of sage, peach, blush, with pops of magenta and raspberry colored our day as we focused in on what we do best: turning beautiful moments into lasting memories.
Team Jolin shot Lan and Jeff’s elopement last week in Berkeley. The day started with us arriving for the tea ceremony. The bride and groom wore read and served tea to their family members. We headed to the church where shot the wedding and I got to shoot a group shot on the stairs! We ended the day in Tilden Park.
Team Jolin spent April 1st at Ravenswood Historical Site in Livermore where the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The day started with everyone getting ready for the ceremony, Chrissy in the bridal suite with her mother, and Michael getting his boutonniere in place out on the grounds. The ceremony was short and sweet with 2 readers and flower petals for guests to throw after the kiss.
The light at Ravenswood is epic and it’s all because of the trees. The reception was filled with Japanese maples that did wonders diffusing the light. We started taking portraits near the ruins at that back of the property and then stumbled upon a killer oak tree. Dinner was a casual, cocktail hour-esque buffet with no set itinerary. Around 6:00pm dancing and toasts started. The last event was Chrissy and Michael’s exit in the pedicab off to their next party!
Ashley and Kevin’s wedding took place at 3 different venues. We started the day at the Stanford Park Hotel where Jerred, Vincent and I met them. Jerred went to hang out with Kevin and his groomsmen while Vincent and I shot Ashley’s dress, shoes, and invitations. As soon as we were done with the details Ashley got in her dress and we went straight to the courtyard for pictures of her with her friends and family.
An hour later we got in an old school bus that was converted in to a large Woody. It had a killer sound system and wood paneling on the inside. We proceed to rock out to Taylor Swift on the drive to the Church.
We arrived to Mission Santa Clara around 2pm for the ceremony. After the ceremony we did family portraits, bridal party pictures, and a few pictures of Ashley and Kevin in a record 30 minutes! We hopped back on the bus and our next stop was the Menlo Circus Club. It was stunning.
Right before sunset we strolled around the property to get a few more portraits and off to dinner!
On December 3rd, 2016, Anabel and Tim got married and the day couldn’t have been more perfect! Anabel worked closely on the design of her wedding with the team from Willow Heights Mansion, who designed, planned and coordinated the event.
The ceremony was outdoors about an hour and half before sunset. Willow Heights Mansion is not only stunning on the outside; the interior of the venue is also a photographer’s dream. The inside is light grey with hints of white and large windows. It was a fabulous way to end our 2016 season!
