They wanted a refined yet laid-back atmosphere in Sonoma.

Reminiscent of a joyous dinner party with loved ones. Their love story intertwined with the very spirit of Sonoma, and they wanted their celebration to reflect that. Weddings like this remind me how much I love being a Sonoma County photographer.

What made Angela and Matt’s wedding genuinely unique were the personal touches that reflected their love story. From the antique wine glasses for guests to the carefully curated playlist, every detail spoke volumes about their journey together. One of the most touching moments was when Angela’s father saw her before the wedding. His genuine joy was palpable, reminding us of the power of love and family.

The ceremony unfolded in the family’s front yard.

The ceremony took place in the front yard of Angela’s family home, surrounded by lush vines and the gentle rustle of leaves. Beneath the shade of an ancient oak tree, Angela and Matt exchanged heartfelt vows, surrounded by their loved ones. It was a moment of pure magic, filled with love, laughter, and tears of joy.

Trust is essential in photography, allowing for authentic and meaningful moments to be captured. As a photographer, I rely on my intuition to read body language and feel the energy of a room, ensuring that I can adapt and capture the fleeting moments that make each wedding unique. My job is to keep you safe from outside energy and be a calming, therapeutic presence on your special day. With my keen eye and intuitive nature, I can anticipate and move with the changes that inevitably happen on a wedding day, ensuring that every moment is captured with grace and authenticity.

The light.

As the setting sun bathed the vineyards in a warm, ethereal glow, I seized the opportunity to create stunning portraits of Angela and Matt. It was a photographer’s dream come true, allowing me to capture the beauty of their love amidst the natural splendor of Sonoma County.

This wedding was timed with perfection. I could steal the couple away, run around, and follow the light. It’s called magic hour for a reason. The warmth of the light is breathtaking. As a Sonoma wedding photographer, it is my job to know we need to take pictures about 20 minutes before sunset because of the hills that surround the county.

Specializing in documentary and editorial style.

As a Sonoma County wedding photographer, I capture candid moments that exude beauty and raw emotions. I firmly believe in the power of joy, and seeing people at their best brings me immense pleasure. I take pride in documenting the little things – an uncle catching up with his new friend, a grandmother cutting a rug on the dance floor – that make a wedding truly special.
